India - Intelligence failure led to attack

As Separatist movements such as Naxalites and Maoists gain momentun, Indian Intelligence fails their proud Nation."Nalco management has come out with figures to nail CISF for the April 12 Naxal attack in Damanjodi of Koraput district. The attack had left at least 10 security personnel and four Maoists dead. Nalco management held that the attack could be made due to intelligence failure rather than security lapses. ‘‘The Naxalite attack could have been averted through effective intelligence and close surveillance network,’’ said A Chakraverty, general manager (mines), Nalco, Damanjodi."
